MERCHANT CITY, Altareth — The Altareth Union Bosses today formally announced two marquee Chaos Shard Trial Championships that will run in parallel across the Firmament: The Accord Wars, an ongoing Trials championship for Accords, and the Third World Invitational Championship the next iteration of The Big Party for solo Chaos Agents and Brokers.

“The Altareth Union Bosses, in partnership with the Chaos Broker Academy and our partner broadcast networks across the Firmament, are proud to officially announce ‘The Accord Wars,’ an ongoing Trials Championship hosted among the three Chaos Broker Academy Accords and special guests The Xandrian Handlers,” announced Jak Camora, speaking on behalf of the Altareth Union Bosses.

The Accord Wars: Format and Field

• Teams: The Alusian Pathfinders, Cunning Champions, Sovereign Warriors, and Xandrian Handlers.

• Trial Structure: Each Accord Trial features three matches. The Accord whose members earn the most Trial Points across those three matches wins that Accord Trial.

• Championship Scoring: Accord Wars standings track cumulative Trial Points across all Trials to determine the current leading Accord.

“After the unprecedented success of The Second Chaos World Invitational, our beloved Big Party, the Altareth Union Bosses are excited to keep the party going with the Accord Wars,” Camora said. “Now, the best and brightest Chaos Agents and their Brokers will be able to demonstrate their skills in winning as a team, and fight for not just their House, but their Accord as a whole. And the rewards will match the great service that these Agents and Brokers render their Accords, the Altareth economy, and the people of the Firmament. If you thought The Big Party was spectacular, wait for The Accord Wars to blow you away!”

The Union Bosses confirmed that The Accord Wars are a perennial Championship with no set end date. The leading Accord will take home a rich haul of monthly rewards, including the inside track to the 3rd Accord Trophy—and future Accord Trophies.

Camora noted the early traction:

“Our initial trial run of Accord Wars has been a stupendous success, with 20 spectacular Accord Trials yielding nearly 90,000 Trial Points scored by the three Accords and the Xandrian Handlers. Though the Pathfinders seem to have a commanding lead of over 7,000 Trial Points over the second-place Cunning Champions, the competition is heating up and the gap shrinks each week. As the stakes rise, so will the level of competition—and it only makes sense for The Accord Wars to be an ongoing, perennial Championship representing the eternal struggle among the ideals each Accord strives for.”

The Accord Trophy: Season Capstone

• Qualification: Performance in the Accord Wars will now determine qualification for the Accord Trophy Trial.

• Seats and Stakes: “The Accord Trophy will mark the culmination of each season of The Accord Wars. The Accord with the most Trial Points in the Accord Wars will secure the most seats in the one-off Accord Trial that will determine the next winner of the Accord Trophy, along with many rewards that come with it,” Camora said.

The previous two Accord Trophies were both won by The Cunning Champions, but The Alusian Pathfinders currently hold the inside track to the 3rd Accord Trophy thanks to their dominance in The Accord Wars.

Leading the Accord Wars will unlock Trophy qualification—and additional rewards.

Details of the qualification process for the 3rd Accord Trophy and the additional rewards associated with The Accord Wars are coming soon, Camora assures us.

“The Accord Trophy is just the tip of the rewards iceberg awaiting the leading Accord of the Accord Wars. The Union Bosses are working closely with the Academy to soon announce a series of monthly rewards that will be available to the Accord Wars leader, and they will be substantial,” said Camora.

Camora also confirmed that the Accord REP Leaderboard will be maintained in parallel to the Accord Wars standings—and that possible rewards for the REP leader are “around the corner,” in addition to those for leading the Accord Wars.

The Third World Invitational: The Big Party Continues

In addition, the Union Bosses announced the launch of the 3rd World Invitational Championship.

• Context: Following the 2nd Chaos World Championship that was won by Cephalon9999 piloting Lavin “I Squash You” Nomatterwhatus, Gauldar piloting The Professor of Your Last Shard of Dignity, and Wildling piloting Pol from Sandy Fleurvoix.

• Format: According to Camora: “Rejoice, for The Big Party continues in the form of the 3rd World Invitational Championship, where Chaos Agents and Brokers will prove the mettle of their House in pure competitive Shard Battles—culminating in monthly Gold Trials and yet another breathtaking Grand Finals to determine the 3rd Chaos World Champions. It’s a party and a feast for all Chaos Shard Battle fans!”

This means two Championships will run in parallel:

1. The Accord Wars Championship among the four Accords.

2. The Third World Invitational Championship among all licensed Chaos Brokers (and Xandrian Handlers) and their Agents.

Weekly programming will feature:

• The next Accord Wars Trial among the four Accords, and

• Bronze and Silver Trials from the 3rd World Championship, with one Gold Trial each month, typically during the final week.
